This scheme was initially run only for farmers. But now anyone can invest in Kisan Vikas Patra Yojana. The amount deposited by you in Kisan Vikas Patra Yojana gets doubled.
It takes 9.5 years i.e. 115 months for this. For example, suppose you have deposited Rs 10 lakh in this scheme. Then you will get Rs 20 lakh after 9.5 years i.e. 115 months. Currently, if we talk about the interest rate in this scheme, it is 7.5%. If we talk about the tenure of the scheme, it is 2.6 years.
What is the eligibility for the scheme
To apply for the Kisan Vikas Patra scheme, the applicant must have Indian citizenship. Any citizen of 18 years or above can apply for this scheme. If someone below 18 years of age invests in the scheme, the guardian has to take the scheme letter in his/her name.
Apply in this way for the scheme
To apply for the Kisan Vikas Patra scheme, the form can be obtained from the post office. After attaching the relevant documents with it and entering all the required information, the form has to be submitted in the post office itself. After submitting the form and depositing the amount, you are given a Kisan Vikas Patra certificate.
